No I do not like it. I downloaded it and it was basically Mozilla Firefox. It is nothing special. I do not think that many people use it.
I completely disagree.
I use it and I like it. It's a totally different thing. The premise behind Chrome is that it's very simple. It's not like Firefox in that you don't add a bunch of extensions and bog the system down. Another unique feature is that each browser tab runs its own process. What this means is that it's almost like a separate program for each tab so that if one tab has a problem or crashes, it doesn't affect the others. In Firefox, I've had many times where I go to a site and then Firefox crashes, closing me out of all tabs. In Chrome, I can just end that specific tab by pressing Shift+Escape on the keyboard which brings up the Chrome Task Manager. In fact, sometimes plugins will bog down the browser or make it freeze, these can also be ended. So for example, let's say I go to someone's MySpace page and the Flash elements of their page make my browser freeze. I can press Shift+Escape and end the flash plugin that's causing the problem, unfreezing the browser.
As I said before, it's all about simplicity with Chrome. There is no bar at the bottom of the browser and there's little at the top. There isn't even a Home button by default, you can either enable one or just hit Alt+Home on the keyboard. What I like about Chrome is that it's concise and to-the-point. I don't need a feature-rich browser for going to sites like Meguiars, ESPN, NBA.com, etc... Chrome is also much faster than Firefox because it doesn't have all the extensions. It starts faster and loads pages much quicker. Because there are less bars above and below the page, you will see more of the page on the screen at once.
Basically what I do is use Chrome as my default browser and Firefox as a backup. Not all websites work properly with Chrome yet and for those I use Firefox. Or if I'm traveling on websites that I think could be risky, I'll fire up Firefox because I have faith in Firefox's security systems. I don't know too much about Chrome security yet but so far it seems to be great.
There are other aspects to Chrome that I like but I'll leave those for you to explore. One highlight would be the New Tab page (the default page that opens when you click the New Tab button) that appears showing the 9 sites that you visit most, your most recently added bookmarks, recently closed tabs, and recent searches. The recent searches thing is absolutely awesome. Basically what this is is Chrome will figure out if you go to sites like YouTube and search a lot. It will automatically add a YouTube search box to the New Tab page. It does this with ANY websites with search boxes. Google, Dictionary.com, IMDB.com, Wikipedia, etc... It's awesome.
Probably my FAVORITE feature of Chrome would be the keyword search feature. What this is, is you can go to Options > Manage Search and add as many search sites as you want. For example, Dictionary.com. Then you can create a keyword so that whenever you type that keyword in the address bar up top, it will search for whatever is after that keyword. For example, I have my browser set up to search Dictionary.com if I type "dict." So lets say I didn't know what "doppelganger" meant. I go up to my address bar and I type "dict doppelganger" and as soon as I hit enter, I get my definition. Or I want to search youtube for Meguiars I type "tube Meguiars" and I get all the Meguiars results. I love this. It's the best.

I dunno but I don't like the GoogleUpdate feature that goes with Chrome? I've try to deactivate it in the msconfig. But it still comes back in my Task Manager's Processes. It seems that, it can't be deleted or deactivate....? I don't like the unnecessary process services that runs in the background. Dunno it's just me, but whenever I use Firefox back, if the GoogleUpdate is running. Firefox runs slower. I need to end the GoogleUpdate, then Firefox feels a bit faster back...? Anyone notice this?
I'm with you 100%. I wasn't too sure about it at first because it handles tabs a bit differently but I've gotten used to it now. It is WAY faster at page loading than Firefox, especially when opening several tabs in fairly rapid succession - I do this on various forums and quite often Firefox can't keep up with me.
It is very clean, very tidy, and totally uncluttered. I especially like the ability to quickly open a new tab that also displays thumbnails of your most frequently viewed sites.
I wish there were more add-ons for it like there are for Firefox, but that will come with time.
