Hmmm, I've probably added another 30 pads or so. Just enough to keep you busy for about 3 hours

Re: I just got laid off!

Sorry to hear that Scott. I have been laid off since Sept. but got a call this morning asking if I was ready to come back to work so things must be picking up a little in the cabinet making business. I have done a lot of stuff around the house, and have a lot more to do, but I guess it will have to wait for a while. My advice is to take 3 or 4 weeks to rest and do what you want to do and recharge your batteries so to speak, then get serious about looking for another job. I didn't look for a job as I knew my lay off was temporary & would get called back, and I did work a few days when they got behind & needed help getting caught up. I am planning on retiring in 18 months so I considered this my retirement training. I drew my unemployment, worked in my woodshop, and kept my cars clean. As others have said, stay positive and something will open up. If God takes you to it, God will see you through it.
