    Re: Too cold...

    How cold is it?

Yesterday morning it was -8° F when I got up and it warmed up to a balmy -3° F before falling back down to -8° F overnight It's quite a bit warmer this morning at -5° F as I type this. I really wanted to do some detailing on my RX before taking a road trip but It looks like that isn't about to happen.

It's almost cold enough to toss out a bucket of hot water and watch it turn to snow before it hits the ground. LOL

    Time to head south.

Kind of off topic, but whatever the peanuts that ADS uses are made from disolve in water. Makes for a pretty cool science project

We must have all seen the same sale at ADS, because I have a G110 and misc other supplies sitting in Hodkins right now. Which by the way is supposed to have a high temp of 7 degrees! At least here in OH it is supposed to get up to 16 -- a virtual heat wave.

My stuff is supposed to be here tomorrow, but hasn't left IL yet. Let's pray for good weather.

Mort, I haven't gotten anything from ADS before, but if the peanuts are white in color... it is possible that they are made out of rice and completely edible. I tried it on a dare the first time, now I like to spread the fun. Give it a try sometime.

Yes, there are some that are made from cornstarch.

I've tried some for a science project - fresh out of the bag and unused - and they taste a little like popcorn.

              To keep the subject off-topic,
I just received an order with some "peanuts" that did NOT fly all over and stick to everything because of static electricity. (Not from any of the vendors mentioned in this thread.)
I didn't try to dissolve them or eat them though.

Well, good news, it came today, and the items were a bit slushy but not too bad, after letting them sit in the house for a bit, they have warmed up and everything looks fine!

                        Re: Too cold...

Well, I hurried home last night and checked the front porch for my two bottles of M84 and C-2000 detailing clay, and of course no product, frozen or not.
Checked the tracking on line and UPS says it was delievered to a young child. My young children have grown into men and are long gone from home.
I have never had an issue with UPS before and the normal man knows my wife and I fairly well.
Hopefully it will be there when I get home tonight.

I thought I could at least knead the clay this weekend.

Sorry to hear that, this is a crazy time of the year for them I bet. I hope every who placed an order last week here gets their orders okay.

I don't know Tom. The 205 and Last Touch look suspect to me. It might be a good idea for you to send them to me here in Sunny California. I would hate to see you use questionable products. I will be glad to step up and take the risk for you.

My M205's arrived a bit cold... The bottle had bowed out a bit from the cold, but the product is okay after I let it warm up.

I did try a bit of M205 by hand and it is very impressing. The finish that it leaves behind is very fine and definately ready for a coat of protectant.

Chris, glad to see it arrived okay, mine was a bit slushy, but okay. I hate to admit this, but I was bored today, came home early for the package, then we had an ice storm, so I just hung out and decided to hand apply 205 on the tiles in the shower. WOW, it shined them up really nice and was super easy to wipe off. If it doesn't make it as a final car polish, they can sell it as a tile polish!
