Re: Starting to get burnt out

I agree the pain is the main culprit of the burnt out feeling. Take the full 8 weeks to recover. You will be back to full steam and will be enjoying life pain free.

I have had numerous knee and arm surgeries over the years. 12 to be exact. I have found out that when the pain to do normal activities is to much. You tend to lose interest in most things. That burnt out feeling. Once your recovery is over, you will be kicking yourself for not getting it done earlier.

Good luck, follow the Doctors orders and you will be fine.

Keep us posted on your progress.

I went through the same situation. now I'm working alone which is much better.

        I feel ya.....

Working the jail, 12 hour shifts for almost the last 12 years (Line Staff mind you) burns me out bad.

It's a good job, pays well, awesome benefits (3@50 Retirement).

There are days that I just dread going to work.

We are pretty pampered though, we get a lot of time to take off and I take a lot of time off to spend with family and mess around with my cars.

12 hours is a long time to be away from the family in such a happy environment, sometimes it effects me at home.

I'll say prayers for you and make sure you do what the doctors tell you with your back, can't hurry things along or you will re-injure it.

I blew my knee out the second time and I was out a while and did what the doctors told me to do and came back full duty. It's a little loose but I'm okay.

Hang in there Nick, your an artist and some time away from it, you'll be back in full strength.
