Re: Detailing Websites and their Waxes

Interesting read, thanks for posting. Besides Iconic Waxes, it's also interesting to get familiar with the different forum personalities and their style of of writing as well as their online personality.

As for the Coke/Pepsi debate it's a given that someday all Coke drinkers will see the light and get on the Pepsi Bandwagon.

My Dad's always been a Ford Truck guy which I've never understood as it's so obvious that Chevy Trucks are far superior.

I've beent thinking about doing a follow-up piece, this time trying to figure out what drinks (alcoholic or nonalcoholic) would best represent the various sites. My guess for MOL: Budweiser. How does that sound, guys?

Come down to the South, Coke is a generic term....even if a place has Pepsi, it's still Coke. Once you get into Illinois, they start saying 'pop'. 'Pop' is a sound, not something you drink. Not sure what you CA folks call it.

I am a HUGE fan of Wild Cherry Pepsi. They give Cherry Coke a good beating on a side-by-side comparison. Otherwise, I go with whatever is on sale.

Same here; we refer to just about any carbonated drink as "Coke." Out West, it seems everyone uses soda instead.

If MOL were to be defined as a drink, it would be Jone's Green Apple Soda. It's full of flavor (many members from around the world) and it has a certain kick to it (quirky individuals).

I actually have RockStar as the lock screen on my iPhone now....they only had the leaded version though, I like the diet better.

                  Nice write up Al!

I'd agree that you were pretty much spot on....though I would agree with Aeroclense on the DGPS for Autogeek.

Wow! Those are fighting words! Good thing Dodge is better than both or I would be upset.

Haha, I literally laughed out loud when you said 'pop' is a sound. Personally we call it pop in my neck of the woods.

We refer to it as pop in Oregon, all my SoCal co-workers at Meguar's would alway look at me funny when I used the word pop?

I read all these sites also. You are pretty much spot on with the waxes. For Autogeek though I would add the Fuzion wax.

For me its Opti-Seal/476s in the winter and NXT in the summer.

                        Chevy not Ford.

I no longer drink tonic. Only water or arizona diet green tea.

As far as Rockstar......I like the Roasted Latte, its my drink of choice on the long rides up north to snowmobile.

Well down here in Socal, I usually just say whatever drink I am looking for, and don't use a generic term often, but when I do, it is usually 'soda'.
