Nick, thats a bummer - I can understand the pain/problem I have/had a herniated disk earlier this summer and wish that on noone. I didn't need surgery (as of yet) but did have this not so fun shot in my back and things are much improved, not perfect but I am happy with the results. What is/was the original problem, if I can ask?

I started having problems with my back after working the ramp for Southwest Airlines. Throwing those bags in the bin of the aircraft, tight space, bent over, heavy bags........back problems!
Oh well, as long as the good ole doc can get me fixed back up, I'll be back to buffing in no time

Have you tried disc decompresion therapy? I'm a chiropractor in Ohio and I have a disc decompression table and have halped several bad discs. Long-term results on back surgery aren't very appealling, so it's best to rule out every alternative.

I would try that, but insurance will not cover it, and the cheapest I've found it is $4500. Not exactly pocket change.

I'm gonna have to take my chances with the surgery
