Thanks for all the replies guys, kind of mixed between like it and don't like it. I like it a lot myself, even though there are still just a few other cars I might pick over this one. But since my girlfriend is the one who went through all of this, she absolutely loves it, so I just want her to be happy. And since I agreed on it as well, it's pretty much a done deal. It's a Lexus, great resale value, quality Toyota engineering, very good dealer network, high repeat buyer percentage.

As a lifetime convertible owner that's a very nice looking convertible for a new car... how about instead getting a classic? Say a 1969 Camaro Convertible? or an early Mustang Convertible?

I used to work for a Lexus dealer down here and I would HEARTILY recommend that car for you! Bearing in mind, it is essentially a "luxurified" Toyota, it's going to last you forever. That's assuming you keep up with maintenance and what not, but knowing Lexus owners, worrying about that is pointless.
