junkers at walmart got the job done for my uncle's work truck. They turned out pretty well, and did their job!

Thinking about picking a couple up for my car for the winter.

I love mine, they are RubberMaid brand from Target. They make a small and large size, have to measure to see if it would work for you.

Check out Husky Liners. I love mine. I got them for winter but leave them in all year, cuz hey, it's a Jeep.

                  Re: winter mats

I have some of the inexpensive ones from walmart as well. They work very well at keeping the winter water/snow/grime off my floors, they trap the gunk very well. Have used them in many vehicles over the years and they never disappoint. I have never been big on spending $$$ on the custom fit floor mats, they have a cool factor but for me the cheap mats work well.

i took a look and found that weathertech wants $100 for the same mats i can buy for $25 at wal mart, plus no high sides

husky liners doesnt make a high side mat either

i guess i will have to settle for mats without high sides

                        Re: winter mats

Weathertechs are much better quality than Wally World brand but they are not cheap. I had a set last 12 years and through two cars before only the drivers mat started crack and that was because I kept using fantastic to clean it. I now use only whatever wash I'm using (GC, NXT or 62) or APC+ if they are really dirty.

i am sure they are good but wally world mats are rubbermaid which i assume are good just by there name. at $25 dollars i can afford to replace them each year for the next four years!

The rubbermaid is definately good quality.... been about 3 years and right under my driving heel just split a bit. Wish I could just buy the driverside, the rest are perfect.

                              Re: winter mats

Contrary to what marketing folks would like you to think, recognized brand does not necessarily equal good quality. I'm not saying that Rubbermaid is not a good brand but I've worked in the plastics/chemicals/fibers and automotive/industrial-consumer parts industries in the sales, marketing, manufacturing and engineering areas long enough to have learned a few interesting things. Just be careful about what you think something is based on brand unless of course it's a Meg's product . With that said my main motivation for using Weathertechs is custom fit (ie more carpet coverage) with about 1/2 the weight. I use mine year round so that's a long 12 years. The last time I bought mats I picked up a set for $70 delivered from amazon. The new ones are even lighter than the previous set I bought.
