  • Any Welders out there?

I'm looking for a arc and mig welder. Does any one know where to get one for a good price (inexpensive). They can be a 2 in 1 type thing, or just 2 separate machines. I do know how to arc, mig, and tig weld. I have been taking classes for stick but he does show us mig and tig too. Just wondering if anyone knows where i can get a stick or mig welder for a good price. BTW this will be my first welder that i will own. Any suggestions?

    Re: Any Welders out there?

I have 2 welders, a Mig (135 model) and an Arc or "Stick" welder (225 amp model). Both of them are Lincoln's. Neither one is a high dollar unit and I am very pleased with their performance. I do mostly automotive related welding.

I found one at a yard sale and the other was at a local shop that was closing. I don't think I have more than 300.00 tied up in unit costs. Keep looking in the classifieds, on Craigs' List. and ask around, try Harbor Freight, who knows what you will come up with. I have also heard good things about Miller and Hobart welders, but have no first hand experience with them.

Good luck with your search. Hope this helped.
