I was wondering about that too.

        Do you like it?

The thumbnail thing looked pretty slick.

Its way faster the FF3. I like it, but it takes some getting used to when you've been use something else for so long.

            Re: New Web Browser

I'm running it right now also. It does seem to be a little faster. I need to spend more time getting used to the look and feel. So far so good.

Except for the Google Browser title bar, The MOL website looks exactly the same as it does using MS IE. The forward and back buttons on my mouse don't seem to work as in IE, I will have to see if there is a way to make it work, is use it too much to give it up.

Something I just found out as I'm typing here, is that it has a built-in spell checker that is letting me know just how bad my spelling is.

I am running it too. It is nice to have those tabs at the top so you can minimize and start a new search. I like it.

Google seems to always be taking over the cyber world one segment at at time... not saying that's a bad thing or a good thing, just an observation.

Does anyone remember the days of alta-vista?

                Are they even around anymore?

Yep, they're around, just used Google to find them...

Wonder if there's a website that documents the history of search engines?

Google is an evil evil empire. They try to store as much of ones personal information on their servers as they can. Im not sure I would trust it.

You mean like the people that leave laptops around un-encrypted and sell them on ebay?

I'm still digging the latest explorer. It has tabbed browsing etc so I don't see a reason to hop over to a beta program. Interesting info though-- deff will keep an eye on this.
