Makes perfect sense Michael. I just wasnt thinking outside of the box.

Since no one has answerd my question, I'll ask again.
Can someone elaborate on this "2 gal." washing system?

      I think M.P. said this was a "Meguiar's System".
I can't find any referance to this.
I live in an apartment. This is what caught my ear when I heard this. I don't agree with this "2 gal." washing system and wanted more information.
I'm here to learn. So, can someone with knowladge of this "2 gal." washing system explain how this works.

        Mike Stoops nailed it...
        • "Meguiar's is in a somewhat unique position in that we cater to the OEM industry, body shops, pro detailers, Car Crazy enthusiasts, and the average car owner who wants nothing more than to remove dirt from their car. The general consuming public usually isn't interested in, nor do they often understand, the lengths an enthusiast will go to when maintaining their vehicle's finish - these are all the people you see waiting for their car to come out the other side of the automatic car wash. That is the audience we were addressing yesterday morning at KTLA's studios.

Like Mike said, this process is not for everyone. For people that can't use a bucket & hose, do not have the time or do not have the desire we are here to offer solutions. There are a wide variety of people and expectations. Not everyone has the same situation or desires...

We did not get a chance on air to discuss another option for certain people. That would be a automated carwash. While most of you may cringe, and we know there are some bad stories from carwashes, we must also remember, there are also some pretty good carwashes out there that cater to a large audience. They reclaim and recycle water, so this is also an option for a restricted area, or for those who do not have the time or desire to do their own car....If we would have had time to say this on camera, it might have helped you out.

Back to the question on how it works...

Towel 1 - used to remove the dirt and grime and because we did not wring out the towel out before laying it on the car, all of that water floods out of the towel with help flush away particles.

Towel 2 - used to begin drying. it will get it about 80%

Towel 3 - used to complete drying

Keep in mind, this process was used for years before we had a carwwash on the market.

        Jeepster04 summed it up perfectly....
