Not real old, but somewhat obscure among the chatter about Meguiar's products, Meguiar's Marble Polish...

This product is at least pre-1989 and probably dates to the 1970's as that's the year Meguiar's relocated our corporate office to Irvine and if you look on the back label it lists Pasadena, California as where the Mirror Bright Polish Company was located at that time.

Here are some early clay bar's Meguiar's introduced between 1993 and 1996, not antique my any measure but already over 10 years old and at the time Meguiar's was way ahead of the curve as far as introducing enthusiasts to this new fangled thing called detailing clay.

I dug these out of my collection of old Meguiar's products as I was preparing to write a how-to article on claying.

        How To Clay Paint

Here are the oldest examples of Meguiar's clay bar in my collection, if my memory serves me correctly, they introduced their first clay bar back in 1992 or 1993.
(If anyone has an un-opened Meguiar's Clay Bar Package, let me know )

Note this particular clay bar was black. I've never used it because it's part of my collection of antique Meguiar's products, and I only pried it out of the packaging for this photo shoot.

The clay is still soft and [i]very[/i pliable and the clay itself has the Meguiar's imprint in it. Interesting huh?

I recently tossed a bunch of maroon colored Meguiars clay that was hard and crumbly.

I remember the small QD bottles.

They used to sit at the checkout register, and were priced for $0.99.

Too bad I gave it away.

Shoot, I haven't looked at this thread since almost the first post, and missed all this cool stuff! Looking at Barry's shelf of products, I can date myself by saying that until last year I had a bottle of #7 that looked like the bottle of #5 on the bottom shelf (clear bottle), and my hardly used bottle of #5 looks like the one to the left of the electric green bottle. I was interested to see the bottle of Aircraft Cleaner between the #5 and the Marble Polish.

Heh...looking at that bottle of Blue Coral...I have a kit in the box circa 1980 that has the polish and the paste wax...the wax is all dried up and rattling in the jar (yes, jar), but the polish still looks ok. I was saving it for a "good" car...but by the time that happened clear coats were in and I treated my car to Meg's Mirror Glaze Hi-Tech products...#2, #9, #7, #26 (7 of course was not part of the Hi-Tech line). Ah...memories...

                Hi Setec Astronomy,

The below picture is actually a picture of my products...

the wording on the first page where it says the above bottles was referring to these bottles that are Barry's not the ones on the shelves...

                Sorry for the confusion.

Sorry...I guess I should have known Barry wouldn't have a bottle of Turtle Wax on the top shelf!

I actually have a full page newspaper add, (both sides of a opened newspaper), for that bottle of Turtle Wax from 1950. It's interesting that the ink for the ad is both black and green. Something I would guess is kind of rare? By the way, the bottle touts that the wax contains Brillium

That doesn't make much sense, how can you tell when it's dirty

By the way Mike, great collection of products, wonder if they're still good?

I was in Tom MacDonald's office yesterday and I spied a new addition to his growing Meguiar's collection so I snapped a few pictures to post to this thread...

Glass half gallon jugs of Meguiar's are very hard to find and I've never seen this one before...

Here's one of my newest additions to my collection...

It's an old can of M16, the hand is my son Rand trying to ham his way into my pictures!

Below you'll find a few pictures of my M16 Professional Paste Wax Collection. In case anyone doesn't know, M16 Professional Paste Wax was the first one of the first waxes introduced by Meguiar's.

At one time I had a post asking about Meguiars 1-16-C, and nobody gave me a answer. Well here is a picture of it. I was begining to doubt my memory.
