Re: Repainting my EG Civic hatchback
hey that looks kind of cool! looks really challenging to pull off that fading to black effect though.... but it'd look really nice if you can pull it off

That looks good. I like that. It would show in one easy step you cam make the white, grey, black all pop. Sort of a rolling testament of your work.

I still say some type of electric blue would be the answer.

Another option would be a clean and subtle two-tone setup...that way the certain custom aspect will grab heads without being cheesy.
for example, pick a nice darker metallic (copper, red, sonic blue, burple, etc) and paint from the window line DOWN that color, and then do from the base of the windows UP in black. The tinted windows will blend with the black and it will set off and show case the metallic lower half.
The only stock vehicle that does it (that I know of) was the 2002-2003 Harley Davidson F150 in silver and black, which was the best looking factory truck ever IMO.

Re: Repainting my EG Civic hatchback
I am not waiting to get many customers from that car..For that reason i have my Accord(TSX) Nighthawk black pearl : ).
i just want a color that will make people turn and see the logo the name and the phone number of my company : )
I don't know of course if that is a good idea, but they are just my thoughts

Re: Repainting my EG Civic hatchback
I would look at Ford's sonic Blue and see what you think. Properly prepared it has an amazing depth, lots of metallic flake, and can change from a blue to almost purple.
It's sweet...
Like others mentioned, I would avoid obnoxiously bright and over done colors...and go for clean, simple, but still something that will grab your eye when detailed.
Bottom line, I say go metallic no matter what you do...a metallic paint job just seems to have more possibility for depth and "awe" factor.

Re: Repainting my EG Civic hatchback
you need something that can impress people..... yellow and lime green and orange are low maintainance colors but at the same time lack depth to show off that it is a well detailed car..... and i dont think you will get much higher end customers with a demo car in that color..... too fast and furious....
try darker shades of red or blue..... something that would easily show off a good detail job.... i dont know about black though.....
