I have a 99 red F-150 on the bottom of the driver side door and is really rusted. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions in what did do for realativly cheap. I was thinking about just taking some Bondo just so the whole door does not get rusty and what not. Also the truck has a few small paint chips up by the hood, I was wondering if buy a little paint touch up is a good idea and if you had any suggestions on using paint touch up.

Re: Severe Rust Out and Paint Chips
Bondo does not protect against rust. The best thing against rust would be to sand it down and them use Rust Mort. Rust Mort is a liquid anti rust agent that you paint on with a brush. It works well I am using it on my restoration car. Bondo is just a filler for dents. Bondo is not good to leave exposed to the elements exspecially around moisture and then it will start rusting under the bondo. I have seen really narly rust on my friends 280 z. He bought it and under the primer was bondo that was 1 inch thick and we sanded it off and it rusted out under the bondo.Alex
