First let me just say.... I’m a life long obsessive Cowboy fan and just as big of fan of the NFL. I have a passion for the history of the game and great respect for the history, the great franchises, the great players and coaches etc. etc...

Now..... this whole fiasco in Green Bay lay at the feet of the leadership of that historical franchise. Period. What an embarrassment...... years from now this will be looked at as a blundering blemish on their history.

Reports are saying that he (Brett Favre) will likely be traded to Tampa and that would be fine with me...... I have tickets for the Cowboy / Bucs game and always enjoy seeing him at Texas Stadium.
Of course all of that being said, I certainly wish it would not have unfolded the way that it has or better yet never happened at all.

If he had a change of heart 3-4 months ago, fine come back. He sent his letter to the league. He is retired. Period. The Green Bay Packers and the NFL are not your personnel play toys. Decisions were made,millions spent according to his decisions.

At least when Jordan retired he stuck it out for a while. Not just a couple of months like Brett. Brett's retirement did not even make it thru training camp.

Now the locals down here say this is his most likely destination.You have got to be kidding me.

Actually in an interview on FOX with Gretta Van Susteren, Favre stated that never signed any retirement papers and never sent any retirement papers to the Packers or the league. He never made the retirement official. He claimed he was being rushed and coerced into making the decision by Packers GM Ted Thompson. He did have a contract for a couple more years with GB.

I usually enjoyed watching Favre play as he did it with passion and enthusiasm. Clearly he is the better QB when compared to Rodgers.

I can understand him wanting to play. It is after all his passion and he can still play well.

This is a very good analysis on the Favre/Thompson/Murphy malaise. GB desperately needs a new management team even more than a good QB.
