Ryan, I can give it a shot for ya.

FWIW, in my experience not all pictures turn out great when transforming them with a fisheye effect, nothing like doing them with a real fisheye lens.

Here's an example of the effect applied to a picture of a bicycle.

    Before:

    After:

The percentage of bend can be adjusted, I believe this was a 100%.

The trick is buying the Viper emblem. Talked my friend into it when he had an SRT4 and it looked sweet!

I just tried the spherize effect in Photoshop Cs with a photo of a 67 Vette. It gave a really neat fisheye effect.

I agree, I thought I was sick! LOL

I also use the trucks like that to check my DRL's, I hate it when I see every other Chevy/GMC truck/suv with one or both DRL's burned out. They figured out it was a too hot bulb and replaced them after a while but I still check

Ryan, I have Photoshop Elements 4.0 with the spherize effect, tried it on picture of my Neon but didn't have the right size. Send me a picture and see what I can do.

Funny you mentioned all of this, as I drive by Semi's with shiny center caps, I look at the cars and think that would be a cool picture. LOL

If they have a DSLR there are some nice fisheye lenses. For example, Nikon has a nice 10mm fisheye for its DSLRs.

What kind of camera do you have? They make relatively cheap lens filters that will distort any lens to a simple fish eye.

Off hand: In Photoshop, you can use Lens Correction and Spherize. There may be better ways, never tried it.

Yes, but not as good as having the right lens.

A google search found this... http://www.ozzu.com/digital-art-foru...op-t63879.html

Camera Buffs: Fisheye effect without lens?

    Hey guys...

So I pulled up to a stoplight the other day and next to me was a big rig with the circular hub caps on his wheels producing kind of a fish eye effect. Man did the Jeep look good like that. But I was wondering if there was software or one of you guys could give a picture the fish eye effect without having a fish eye lens?

    Just wondering..
