  • Driving in or out of LAX

If you drive into LAX you best have a front license plate on your auto.
Something to do with Home Land Security and the camera's taking
pix of our cars. I was pulled over in my Audi with no front plate and
given a warning, but I was very lucky. I heard the fine is $250.00.

in Los Angeles city you must have a front license plate. with more red light camera system being installed they can pull and cite you for it. I know I got one many many years ago. can't remember how I took care of it.
whether it was fixed or a moving citation.
I'm not suprised that LAX would have that requirement. but I've drive a few times to LAX without a front plate and never had an issue. maybe on the holiday weekends where they enforce heavily.
    Good advice.

In 2004 I just bought a Lancer that came with paper plates. I got the windows deeply tinted and rolled into LAX dropping of my brother for his flight. On my to get out I got pulled over for my window tinting being too dark. The cop, who was a nice guy, said that my dark windows, black car and paper plates made the snipers nervous. Pretty interesting.

According to the CA law, you "must" have a plate on the front of your car at all times and can't have any tint on the front windows. Not lecturing, have no front plate and had tint on the car. The tint was removed and I am just waiting to get money to have it redone. If you get busted for it, you know...
