    im going to try doing it by hand when i get home, the front doesnt have too many scratches, but the back is pretty scratched up. should I use scratch x, and how about a coat of wax?

      Brian, that iPod looks really good! Working by hand takes time, but your results are impressive.


      I've done other metal polishing projects in the past. If there are some deep scratches, you can use a compound and follow it up with a metal polish.

      Yes, ScratchX will work on polished metal surfaces. However, it won't be as effective as a dedicated metal polish.
