Napa Gold, that is it! Still though, the only way I could see a filter leaking is if there is no o-ring or the old one is still there creating a gap or the filter wasn't tightened enough.

I use Mobil1 and Bosch filters.

AeroCleanse is an Amsoil dealer if anyone uses it. Just figure might as well support a forum member. If I didn't have a stock of Mobil1 and thought I'd keep my Jeep longer I would probably make the switch.

All I have now is a light and if it comes on that is bad . I think it would be easy to install because there is a line that comes out of the top of the oil filter bracket which that line controls my oil presssure light. I would not want to disconnect that line but would it be possible to put a splitter on it to have both running?

Roushstage2 , how much would you want for those. I am interested but I think it is to early to be doing stuff like that. My dad wants to see me get the rust off and get it painted and then do mods. So I will dicuss this with him later.

That is where you would tee it. That is where it is done on my truck and car. As for the gauges, like $20?

My dad is complaing about it. He said he wants to keep the car original but he is not the one driving it. He is just worried about me screwing the holes in the bottom part of the dash (That nobody will see). I'll pay $20 bucks for them. I just got to talk about it with my dad some more hopefully I can talk him into letting me get them. Even if i bought them without telling him he would get mad if he saw them on the car.So I would buy them but I got to get around my dads opinion first. I will pm you so I don't use somebodys thread.

Nope, I have been running it in my car for about 2 years now and am slowly changing all fluids to it. I don't think you can really have a bad experience with an oil unless you get the wrong grade or type.

Mobil 1 Full Synthetic in my ZX2 and Castrol Part Synthetic in my girlfriend's Focus. Both are 5-20 weight. Both cars are suppose to go 5000 miles per oil change.

On a side note, when I was in high school and my beloved '74 Chevelle Malibu Classic, I only added oil to the car and never changed the filter and figured I had at least a couple of good quarts in the motor as I was always broke to change the oil (needed cash for gas and Pepsi), I ended up selling the car and it was turned into a race car. Oregon State Police Mustang(it was his fault ), caught me speeding and my dad made me sell the car as I had to use insurance money to pay ticket......LOL

For my Jimmy and now my Datsun I try to change the oil often enough that because it's so fresh type and brand become less important.

What I like to do is watch my local auto parts stores for their sales, for example Autozone will often have an oil change special that includes a name brand of oil and a Fram Filter or some equivalent for less than $15.00 including tax. Plus at least with Autozone you can take them your used oil to be recycled, just save a Arizona Tea 1-gallon jug or two and they'll empty them for you. (The Arizona Tea 1-Gallon Jugs are made using some pretty stout plastic and the lid seals really well and tight, important things when you're transferring dirty oil).

For that kind of price compared to what it cost to rebuild an engine, it's pretty easy to change your oil every month or every sale which is usually about every month, so I'll tend to look for the oil change promotions when I'm in any of the big four around here,
