While the origins of the "who said to use Dawn first" debate is up in the air, I have a different concern.
While most here will agree, Dawn is most suitable for dishes (not cars), I happened to have grown up in a Palmolive family and herein lies the problem.
I think this (and other forums like this) have a very strong anti-Palmolive agenda. Why is it people recommend Dawn and not Palmolive? In my experience, Palmolive takes burnt potatoes of the bottom of a pan much better than Dawn. Also, Palmolive is well known for being "gentle" on the hands.
So, I think I have established this is a clear clase of discrimination which needs to be addressed. I think that from now on, MOL should enact a new policy. When the word "Dawn" appears in ANY post, it should automatically be tagged with and asterisk (*) with a footnote that says "Palmolive can also be used as it has been shown to have superior potato cleaning skills".
Yes I'm bored... but so glad the site is back working (so I don't have to).
