Geeze, he disabled comments to his videos.

I totally agree with you Joe. It would be interesting to pull the vehicle out in the sun and see all the holograms from using the rotary at 3000 rpm...

I just bought the spray product and can't wait to test it.

Yeah, I tried to add some comments (granted they were a bit sarcastic) but pretty even. All I wrote to him is "why don't you do a true comparison with Megs following Meg's 5 step detailing process".

I even laid out the products he should use (based upon what I use).

      I suggested:

      NXT Wash
      Clay
      DC Paint Cleaner
      #7
      NXT 2.0 x 2

I told him to do his car the way he sees fit and to wash the other as outlined and compare. I also recommend to similar cars that were black.

Re: What's the deal with Phil Boler

There are many good products out there and many great ones but products are only as good as the company offering those products. You must also look at support, quality control and the organizations willingness to go outside of the box.

As other above have stated...no need to go negative and that usually is a sign of a Napoleon complex in my mind.

How many of us have been detailing with and using Meguiar's since we were kids/teens? I know this detailer has and will for a long time to come! 42 years old and still detailing and I hope I can be 82 and shining my rides!

Re: What's the deal with Phil Boler

Well the way I see it there are only two possible results of actually doing a fair test on youtube.

He does it and the Megs comes out better.

He does it and his stuff comes out better and he stands a lot to gain. Now, with this proposition, it's pretty easy, if he wins, even Megs users would give his stuff a try... but he's NEVER done this...

          I wonder why?

Probably because #1 has already come to pass but doesn't make for good marketing when trying to sell a product.

          I could see him now...

"Try my new spray polish... sure it got blown away by Meg's five step approach... but who the heck want to spen 5 hours and have a great looking car when you could have the mediocre look you always wanted in twenty minutes!!!"

I have to agree, everyone try to bring the "TOP" down (Meguiars), like Production Care Production. Phil's negativity against Meguiars or others, it will only backfire on him and the company. Let the consumers and products speak for itself. This is why consumers keep coming back for that second, third (and so on) bottles.

My personal favorite was calling UQD a polish, and then comparing it to some type of spray wax, and doing so while rubbing the paint with a microfiber that still had a tag on it...

During the summer I watched all of his videos bashing different companies. Although I did see one video wear Adams Car Polish topped his, but the people could not say taht otherwise Phil would kill them. He said in a video that he had to retest some products because people complained that he did not use them correctly. Which is true he does not, as people have already said.

Re: What's the deal with Phil Boler

There was one day a few months ago, when someone linked to a legit Megs video on YouTube.

One of this jokers videos comes up as "related" (just like they planned, i'm sure). I was curious so, I clicked. Half way in I see this guy NOT following the directions on a bottle of Megs... like waiting for product to haze. I called B.S. on his whole lame "marketing" attempt and went on with more important things. C'mon what do the vast majority of retail clerks really know about autocare products?

Superior products do not draw comparisons but, instead build trust, repeat sales and market share by developing, delivering and supporting solid products. Sound like someone we call know?

My two cents. I have used several products from that company. In my opinion they performed well, but I did not see any discernable difference between them and comparable Meguiars products. Obviously, everyone has their favorites (and I like to experiment and test products) but I keep coming back to Meguiars with no regrets. BTW, I cannot wait to get my hands on some of the new 2009 products.

Maybe he should be invited to one of the Open Garages for a product show down.

Bet he would be busy, that night. I think it would be a excellent idea.

I told him once that he needed to learn what detailing was all about and he told me to 'F' off... Some people are ignorant(lack of knowledge) and do not realize it..
