    Nascar

    Just thought it would be fun to find out who is your favorite nascar driver is. Mine was Dale Sr., still looking for one since his death.

    I'm with you on that, I have a TON of Dale Sr. stuff in storage awaiting the day I build a sports room and display it, along with some baseball stuff etc.

    I now like Tony Stewart, our Orange Neon has a #20 sticker on the back window and it's fun to park at Lowes. LOL.

        I was really starting to like tony before he want to toyota but its hard to want him to win. Not much on toyota racing in an american sport at all.

        Kinda like Gorden but do not like jimmy one bit at all. Mark Martin was/is one of my favorite drivers along with Carl, pretty much all the Roush drivers. .

          Jeff Gordon and Dale JR. Those are my favorites. Not liking Toyota in the sport. The Toyotas that have won this year is all JGR. If toyota did not get JGR then they will still be losing which would be fine with me. I have heard that all the toyotas are not even running Toyota blocks. I think Nascar should pass a rule saying that each manf should supply the blocks and they race teams can not change them much or something like that.

            Not Tony's fault for the Toyota's. I'm sure he said his peace about them. JGR probably got some good sponsorship dollars for using them. I still like him though.

            Man if they are not doing their own blocks, then they don't belong. You are right, each Manufacturer needs to supply the motors, er...their own parts. Chevy=Chevy, Dodge=Dodge, Ford=Ford, etc etc.

            JGR can make any car successful I think, I wish they stuck with Chevy's though.

            I sure miss Dale Sr. though, his voice in keeping things in check is sure missed. A lot of voices saying that Stewart can be the next Dale as far as keeping things in check.

            I don't want to be flamed, no one will replace Dale, thats it, but NASCAR needs a leader and I thought it would be Gordon, but he's been quiet, and I really don't like Johnson. I want to wear my Home Depot hat and go to Lowes as the wife is filming and ask where the Tony Stewart stuff is..... ha ha ha

              Did you guys see the race. I don't like kyle Busch period I don't care if it was racing what he did was overaggresive and dangerous. Nascar needs to penalize him. I have absolute no respect for Kyle Busch. He is aggresive and he causes a buch of problems. Nascar needs to definately penalize him. Same with Hamlin he needs to be penalized because he knew that he had a flat and brought out a caution which caused the Busch and JR issue.

                I think Tony is going to start his own race team. His contract is up at the end of the season and when I saw an interview of tony during practice he is considering options about what he can do if he leaves JGR.

                      Ditto. He is way too cocky and drives way over his head. He'll get what he deserves in the future ... and he won't be happy, we will though

                          I was really pulling for JR(forgot to say I like him too) but thats just racing. Dale wrecked tons of people on the last lap to go on and win the race. To bad kyle wrecked him and didnt win.

                          I was really hoping Mark would pull up there at the end and win, I was jumping out of my seat.

                            Yeah at the end kyle spun the tires because they cooled down and Mark got a run but could not get out of the corners as well.

                              Kyle got loose going into three and slid up, plus JR should have know better (not that I'm saying it's his fault), but I think he knew off of two that KB had the better car.

                              Anyways, I was a big Terry Labonte fan along with Hendrick Motorsports and I still closely follow Brian Vickers and Team Red Bull.
