  • New wheels on the truck....

Still undecided if I like them or not. Much better than the old beat up stock wheels that were on it. But still not sure if they "fit" this truck.

2008 Chevy Z-71 wheels on a 2000 GMC Z-71.....what do you guys think??

They look kind of stock, kind of small.... not really like an aftermarket upgrade if you know what I mean.

They are stock wheels off of a 2008 Chevy Z-71. They are 18" wheels. I really didn't want to go much bigger than that.

I like them alot more than the original rims. I think they go with the truck quite well. I haven't been looking at it for a long time with the stock rims on either. Makes a difference.
              on, people!

Yea, the new ones look alot better but I can see where they were not meant for your truck. The size of the rim is ok, its the tire thats small.

The rims are a lot better than your factory ones. The thing that is wrong with the truck is 1. it is too low and 2. needs at least some 32s on there.

Even though the wheels are different sizes(16" to 18")The overall size of the tires are the same. Side by side, the tires are the same hight. In fact, according to GPS, my MPH at 70 is only off by 1. Speedo says 70, GPS says 69. So, the tires are the same size. Not sure what looks so off about them. But I agree that they are better than the old ones. Just something doesn't look right. Maybe it's the fact that the truck has soft lines and smooth rounded edges, and the wheels have sharp edges?

Yup, thats what I was thinking last night when I first saw the pics. The truck is rounded off and the rims are squared off for those new trucks they come on.

I guess the reason these tires look to small is b/c you have less rubber with the bigger rims. If you bump the size up the mpg will go down though.

I think the wheels make the truck look newer. The truck looks great as is. Looks flawless.

I like them. I have the 08 Z71 wheels on my 02 Silverado.

Best picture I have from this winter I think.
