    Looks good...

Don't have a picture of my first car, didn't do much with cameras back when we were 15

Wish we had a picture of it however as it was pretty unique...

1926 Model T - Quarter Mile Drag Car
    • 283 Chevrolet V-8 engine
    • 6-Pack Carbs - (3 two barrel carburetors)
    • I-Beam front axel drilled
    • Packard 4-Speed Transmission
    • Columbia 2-Speed Rearend
    • Original steering wheel, body, window frame and glass
    • Custom Wood Mini Truck bed (Not really like a truck bed as all you could fit into it was a briefcase)
    • 1966 GTO Taillights built into the truck bed
    • Custom Fiberglass Fenders - (We were never going to run these)

Couldn't ever get it on the road however, just didn't know enough about what we were doing back then. Pulled this out of a barn and fixed it up and then drove it all through High School. The movie Grease came out back then and all my buddies would try to dress 50's style and then make me take them cruising.

    1948 Plymouth Super Deluxe Coupe
The first car I was able to rebuild and put on the road safely when I was 16 in 1977 was this 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe Coupe my dad and I pulled out of a barn.

Re: Post some pictures from your first car

Here's my first car. It was a 1985 Corvette with the color matched targa top and automatic transmission. The color is Medium Metallic Grey. I purchased this car in June of 1999 from an elderly gentleman that was dying of liver cancer. He was the second owner of the vehicle and had owned it since 1987. He said he had bought it from a Chevy dealership in California. It was a trade-in from a female that bought a new Vette. It had 52,000 miles on it when he bought it. Over the next 12 years, the man only put 20,000 miles on it. It stayed in his garage with a dust cover on it. I purchased it with 72,000 original miles. The car looked absolutely amazing. I was lucky enough to get it for $7,500!!! This car is what got me attached to Meguiar's products. I can remember spending all day doing the 3 step process with the consumer line by hand and thinking, "dang, this detailing stuff is hard work!!" Well, in August of 2000 I got stupid and sold it for $8,500. For over 3 years I thought about that car every single day (no exageration). I still think about it often, just not every day. I'd love to have the opportunity to puchase it back if the chance ever came around.

Sorry for the poor picture quality. I didn't have a digital camera back then so these are scans of the original photos.

This was the sad day the new owner took it from me (He's on the right). I think I cried later that day!!!
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Re: Post some pictures from your first car

There is NO way I could afford driving a V8 car daily. Not even today.

Here's my first car, a humble 1989 Toyota Tercel bought in 1995. Pic was taken in 2006, a few months before I had to part with it. Engine died and it cost too much to repair considering the car's value.

I was proud that it was the only shiny Tercel of that generation I ever saw around here. There are very few left around here and they are rusted to death.

For my first car or vehicle it was a 2004 Kawasaki Ninja 250. I bought it used for 1500 dollars, Had 8200 miles on it when I bought it, it was well used. It had flat black paint, the original color was blue. I drove a motorcycle before I got my car liscense. My first car was my grandmothers 89 dodge dynasty got it for free. It had 30,000 original miles. It broke so many times. One time when I was on my way to school I go outside and it was 30 degrees I open the door start it up to let it warm up but when I shut the door the window fell down. I was laughing all day about it. I have pictures somewhere of my 250 I am going to look for them.

Not my first car, but my first good car. '95 Pontiac Grand Prix. I totally babied this thing. It was after I bought this when I started buying Meguiar's products and got into detailing as a hobby. The photo was taken in 2003 after using Gold Class Wash Shampoo, #7 Show Car Glaze polish, Gold Class liquid wax, Quik Detailer spray, Endurance on the tires - All by hand. I still miss my Grand Prix and wish I never traded it in.

                  This was my first car:

1974 Chevelle Malibu Classic, but it was Gold with a white top. Had a 350/350 combo, stock 2 barrel carb. Ran pretty good until I trashed it in high school and sold it cause I got a speeding ticket and couldn't pay my insurance, so dad said out with the car!

Those are some neat looking cars. All I have is memories of my first car. A 1966 Plymouth Belvedere. Paid $400.00 for it. Good solid car. I miss it.
