    Re: Spam SOLUTION????

We used MXLogic but now switched to Postini (a google company I believe). There spam filtering is about as good as MXLogic but much cheaper (I think MX's cheapest monitoring is about 50 per month), whereas Postini will do it at about 5-10 bucks a month).

I went from about 300 per day, to about 3 per day.

      Re: Spam SOLUTION????

For Outlook users I would recommend the SpamBayes add on. After training I saw a significant decrease of spam on my home account.
I will also add that running mail through your own domain name is a great idea. I've been doing it for the last five years (for my consulting biz) and rarely have a large problem.

Just like Brian, I also have an auto forward all on my email Cpanel to send to my Gmail account. The thing I like about Gmail is you can add any email address you verify as a send from email in GMail.

The spammers seem to hit the larger domains (e.g. Yahoo.com, msn.com, Comcast.com, rr.com) more often as it's an easier target.

        Re: Spam SOLUTION????

A huge factor in SPAM is publishing your email address on the web in a text format. Spam bots that recurse the web pick up your email address listed on a web page or in a mailto: link and add it to their spam lists.

On your website, consider using an image to display your email address and remove all text versions of your address. The spam bots can't (easily) pick up your email address if it's not in text format.

Hide your email with some java code.

You could also go for a contact form on your Web site.
