  • Question about using the "Search" funtion

I've tried searching on a few terms and it seems to return everything but what I am looking for. I'm wondering if there are correct ways to search that I'm not using.

I was trying to search for information about cleaning pads.

    I tried searching for:
    cleaning pad
    cleaning + pad
    cleaning and pad

Each time, the results that it returns, seem like they are searched on the terms individually. So it returns posts that have "clean" in them which are a lot.

How can I get it to combine the terms?

    Thanks.

Re: Question about using the "Search" funtion

I was hoping to find info on how to clean/rejuvenate them after they have been saturated and dried.

I didn't take care of my pads after my last detail with both M80 & NXT wax so I have some dried up product in the pads.

Can I just soak them in hot water or something and then squeeze them in a towel?

I guess the subject of my original post is a bit off track by the above questions. Oh well.

        Yes you can.
I usually soak them in water and remove all the saturated product that's in the pad and let it air dry.

Ive had bad luck with the search too. I search for #16 and it brings nothing back.

Just wash the pads by hand with some dish washing soap and warm water.

I soaked them in hot water with a couple of drops of Dawn for a couple of hours.

When I came back to them, they had sort of cleaned themselves. Most of the wax had come off and I just had to get a little off around the edges.

I rubbed them around in my hands and viola, they are good as new. I ran them under fresh water a couple of times ringing them out between to ensure that they were clean.

The bucket water looked nasty and it was really "slippery", I'm sure from the NXT.

            Thanks guys.
