Re: Did anyone else feel the earthquake?
Brandon, here is a diagram of the zone:
My wife talked to on of our branches in St. Louis today. They felt it. One lady said she was shaken off the toilet. I hope I never experience one, tornadoes are
bad enough here in the MidWest.

Re: Did anyone else feel the earthquake?
That's crazy! I've never felt one. I can't imaging the entire ground shaking, that's some serious power.

Not quite... I was taking a nap before a noon class.
I woke up and my bird is going nuts!
This one was rated a 4.5.

It was a 8.0 or so on the scale.
When it goes these days, St. Louis and Memphis may be toast.

It would be a good thing if the entire city of Memphis crumbled to the earth.

Re: Did anyone else feel the earthquake?
I was just going to email you about that Chris!
At 4:40am even if there was one I was sound asleep. It would take a pretty big one to wake me up that early.

Yes, it can travel very far. back in the 1800's the New Madrid fault in southern Missouri let go. It rang church bells in Ohio IIRC. The Mississippi ran backwards for a while as well.

Re: Did anyone else feel the earthquake?
In NE Indiana we felt it. It lasted about 10 seconds & things just vibrated little. The radio said in SW Indiana it was a 5.4.

I live about 40 miles due west of Milwaukee and I felt it. Lasted about 15 seconds. I thought I was back in CA.

I'm in Nashville and it woke me up. Lasted a couple of seconds, nothing hurt. Makes for a good start to the day.
