A break from polishing cars for a minute ..... Last year a couple of us puck heads had a nice thread going during the playoffs. Before I attend game 1 of the Ducks / Stars series I figured I'd serve up the question:

Who is your team and who's gonna win it all.

I have been a Redwings fan forever. Even back in the early to mid 80's when they were known as the Deadwings I was for them. So hopefully they can at least get by the first round and then go on to win Lord Stanley's Cup.

And Michigan in the Frozen Four being played this weekend for college

Red Wings for me too. Yeah, it's not a popular choice seeing as I live in the shadow of the Ducks home ice, but that's the way it is. Ducks would be a close second for me though.

I'm a Washington Capitals fan and am happy they made their first appearance in the postseason since 2003. Plus, they are playing really well right now (ended the season 11-1, I think) and have a hot netminder in Huet.

In a perfect world, both #3 seeds would meet in the finals and I would go to a finals game in St. Paul, but I'm not so sure I live in a perfect world.

I am a long suffering Vancouver Canucks fan . I am thinking that the winner will come from the East this year and I am picking the Penguins or Caps .

Flyers all the way. We have been waiting for a long time and I believe this team can get the Cup back to Philly. Tonight's game will give us a good indication of how things are going to go.

Murr will probably appreciate this...

I'm a Leafs fan first (but given the fact that the NY Knicks are the only worse run professional sports franchise), I root for the Pens. A good friend of mine is an executive with the Penguins and as a result I've met the entire team a few times, participated in their "fantasy camp" and have the added reason of the fact that they have an opportunity to beat the Ottawa Senators. A win - win situation for me.

BTW Murr, I own the light blue Jersey and often wear it when playing hockey with my son and it draws a lot of looks.

Well I guess me and my Capitals are done now. I was really looking forward to a Pens-Caps matchup (and I would imagine NBC was too). Sad really, oh well the Caps should be pretty solid next year.

How about an all PA Stanley Cup final!!!! The Pens and Flyers played each other hard during the season. I think it would be a great series.

Me I am Avalanche fan. The recently beat the local team the wild. I was hoping for the wild but have to wait for next year again.
