Well, it’s time for another St. Jude’s dream home giveaway. You can Google St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway and go to their web site to see if there is one of these giveaways being held in your city and all the information regarding St. Jude. As a cancer survivor myself and having several family members as well as friends having their lives impacted by cancer, I know personally what a huge impact this can be on a family. But what I can’t imagine is the devastating feeling of having this horrid disease take hold of a child. I know all of us as parents know that the health and safety of our children are by far number one in our lives. This is why St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is at the top of our list for donations.
I am not here to ask people to donate, that is up to you, I just wanted to let people know about it as it’s not something you hear a lot about. Not only is it a great cause to support, but you could win something, so if you like to gamble or play the lottery etc. why not do something like this where at least the money goes to a great cause. Because there are prizes involved the IRS’s position is that the ticket price is not deductible as a charitable donation.
Again, this is just information I wanted to pass a long to members here, as I know there are a lot of good people here who would probably do this if they just knew about it.
