  • Free Microfiber

Shell is giving away free microfiber towels when you fill up with 10 gallons of gas or more. In other words, you spend about $36 buying gas and get a free ultra cheap microfiber.

These are about the size of a washcloth folded once and individually plastic wrapped, so they are clean. They are very thin though and made in china. I also do not know what they are made out of either.

Regardless, I have been given about a dozen already just for buying gas a dozen times. I have been using them on the inside of the car with Quick Interior Detailer. They seem to work quite well though I will not try them on my paint.

I've picked up a couple of those, the material is fine, (read the tag- 80/20) but the thread count is very low. I usually just top off the Saturn at the 3/4 tank mark, so I rarely get 10 gals at a time.

I agree that it would not be a good idea to use them on your paint, (even if they were big enough) but they are great to just toss into the glove box for an occasional spill in the interior, or for a quick emergency QD due to a bird bomb. I always keep a 2oz. spray bottle in the trunk for just such occasions.
