Is craigs list still free to advertise stuff for sale? I am selling a couple of parts from my T-Bird.

Re: Is craigs list still free to advertise stuff for sale?
Yeah, Craigslist is free.
I sold a motherboard off of there, but it took forever.
My biggest gripe is the scammers. You'll probably get a few emails from people in Nigeria.
Personally, I've had better luck with specific forums - car forums, computer forums, etc.Chris

Still Free, but let them reply to the craigslist e-mail forwarding service or put a contact # in. That way you don't end up on the spammers e-mail list. I am in Real Estate and almost all of my business is through them. Works great if you like free!

I heard that craiglist might start charging for posting ads because people post multiple ads in one category. That was a rumor but I guess it has not happened.
Thanks I am going to create a account.Alex

Re: Is craigs list still free to advertise stuff for sale?
I sure hope it's still free..I have sold a Toyota Tundra, Hot Tub, Motorcycle, and some misc stuff on it.
You do need to worry about scammers.
I thought the Tundra sale was one..I live in the Portland OR area and the guy who ended up buying it was in Seattle. He came down and drove it and then called an made an offer the next day.
The one issue was that I would have to send a power of attorney to his credit union so they could transfer the title..Since he was financing via his CU it had to happen there...
I was a bit sceptical...So I took the day off..and drove it up there (~160 miles each way)...It turned out to be all legit..He dropped me off a the airport.where I rented a car and drove home..
I cost a few bucks and a day's vacation..so it worked out.
