    Whats my time worth...?

    I received a call from my mechanic, he said a customer of his never paid for his work, so he obtained customers truck title and now is selling it.
    Anyways, he asked me to look it over and give him a interior detail price, so I did. After viewing the truck, I discovered it never was vacuumed full of animal hair (yuck) just a complete mess
    He was thinking $100 top, so I agreed, since in the past he has referred me many clients.
    It took me 5.5 hrs to complete interior.
    So whats my time worth ....? apparently no as much !!! he charges $60 hr non-negotiable, when I quote prices (lets make a deal) never again no matter who they are or how long we've been friends, I'm (NOT) budging under pressure, it's my way or the highway...

    Learn the hard way........... you should have made a good $250 min. for that work.

        happens to us all im sure at some point, i have done car cleaning for very little amounts in the past as a favour. Make your labour charge non negotiable (i think thats really bad he let you do it for that little, esp since your a pro and doin a job he cant possible handle)

        Check this out, A post by Finerdetails a pro uk detailer, he charged standard for this interior job, i would say at least some increase would be needed for the type of clean up. If your feeling queasy i wouldnt look at this post!

              WHOA! I only clean up that kinda stuff from me, myself, my family & pets. That's about as far as I go.
              I would suggest a hazard fee added to the bill if I was to do it. I've gotten sick before, cleaning up after a sick child.
