I can't wait. It should be readily visible to all. Plus earlier in the day the shuttle lands.

Another item to watch for is the debris from the satellite that the Pentagon is reportedly shooting down today after the shuttle returns.

Us in Florida can also listen for the sonic boom the shuttle makes upon reentry.

Should be a good day to keep your eyes on the sky.

At 9AM EST the dual sonic booms announced the shuttle's approach as it slowed to sub-sonic speed. Touchdown was at around 9:08 AM. So Cool.

I forgot about the shuttle. I see she is now home. It will be a cold night to watch the eclipse where we are. Hoping for a good show.

Cloudy with light rain here so we never got to see it. Bummer.

We had a system move in. Wall to wall clouds. Could mot see the eclipse at all.

I got a shot of the partial before it clouded over here. Seeing was not very good with lots of haze in the air. Long wait until 2010 for the next attempt.

                          Cool photo Jim!

I have a telescope that connects to my DSLR but it was too darn cold for me outside last night. It's -11*F here now.

LOL, it was about 72° here when I shot that last night. That's one reason I leave WI in the winter. You are having a brutal winter. Where is that Global Warming everyone wants to talk about? It sure isn't in evident in WI.

I have a Celestron 8" scope back in WI but I don't have room to bring it down here to FL. Did you notice that one of the brighter stars by the moon was really Saturn?
