  • Do You Trust Your Spouse With Your Just-Detailed Ride

It seems like every time I wash and detail my garaged weekend ride, my wife takes it grocery shopping on the only rainy day of the week -- every week! I love her dearly -- my wife, that is -- but she drives me crazy by driving the detailed rig in the rain, when she knows that I just detailed my baby. No, I'm not one to get angry over such unimportant things. However, I'm like, "Honey, there's six sunny days, and one rainy -- how do the stars align in such a way that you have to take the just-detailed car on the one rainy day?" Am I the only one who has this talk week after week?

Need more options in the poll. My wife doesn't drive my car at all, and I don't drive hers So that way we are both happy hehe.

Well I have parents and a brother that I worry about...they try their best to keep them clean, but to me they look like pig sties when I go to clean them out. My mom (I love her, but) is the worst. She walks to the car with her big ol' purse with the metal things on it and squeezes it into the car...so annoying.

          Its not too bad though....

Not an issue for me either with the G/F. I want another 5 speed, they stay soooo much cleaner that way!

To me the poll needs more options. My wife is careful, won't drive thru puddles, watcges were she parks, etc.

So the option on the poll should be something like She's careful no worries.

My wife and I only have one vehicle so it's kind of a moot point.

I have a 6-speed and my wife shifts it better than I do... going up anyway. I have the edge on downshifting, but I drive it every day.

Honestly, I don't worry about it. I just wash and detail when I have time and ambition and if it rains, well, that's life. At least I know it will wash up real nice in a few days.

I do this for fun and to relax so if it gets dirty, it gets washed and cleaned etc.. we have two cars and we use sand and calcium and salt on the roads up here so my shoulder is sore

My wife don't mind me detailing the cars, she like the compliments but she don't mind letting a few coffee cups roll around the back floor board or garbage in it either. She says it gives me something to gripe about and gets me out of the house. LOL. She's a good woman though

Just keep the wifes car as clean and detailed as your "baby" and you will have solved the problem. Works here!
