    Talkin Trash About Meg's NXT2.0

    This guy from a website I belong to is talkin a bit of trash about MG products. It's burnin me up badly! I was very close to having an online bout defending MG products until the moderator told us to cool it(which I did). But I so highly believe in meguiars products(and all you great bunch of people) religously that I felt it necessary to defend what I believe in.


    Here is a short stint of what he said: " No worries. Look in the thread a few below this that I made, there is a side by side review from a Meguiars fanatic, Migliore takes the win. NXT only lasts about two weeks besides".


    This guy sent me a pm trying to peddle his product. I wrote back saying simply:Meguiars is the only one thats reputable and solid as a rock to me! Only about 5 people tried his wax. He claims his stuff gives a superior depth&shine better&longer than NXT2.0.

    Just needed to vent people, sorry.

    There are two aspects to this. Firstly, you know you have a great product when others are constantly striving to prove that they can compete against it, so clearly Meguiar's has the quality product that other manufacturers view as the top brand.

    Secondly, as passionate as we all are about our vehicles and detailing, it's important to keep it all in perspective, that when compared to our families, careers, and all that's going on in the world, it's just wax -- and there's certainly no need to become personal or emotional over it. I know that for me, the hobby is more about spending time with my 11-year-old, who loves helping me detail, and I could care less what type of wax others use.

    Remember, people come first, then wax. There's no reason for anyone to get heated when it comes to detailing. Enjoy the car hobby, and share it with those who you enjoy.

                There will always be haters no matter what. At the end of the day it is just car wax. Not really worth getting worked up about. Just use whatever makes you happy. I am using M21 because I like the results it gives me, what others say don't really influence me anymore. Sure there are revolutionary products coming out all the time, and it is fun to try them, but just let the guy "win", I think it will become evident that they are not as knowledgeable as they try to appear to be. At the end of the day whatever makes you happy is what you will use, nothing will influence that.

                  I've had to defend my use of Meguiar's before on boutique boards. I think other vendors are simply afraid of the results that Meguiar's give for the money.....heck just take the money out of the equation!

                  NXT 2.0 is one of the best out there period. Some just think that there is no way a product can be decent from being over the counter.

                  On another note, I've done a side by side comparison of #83 vs. Menzerna's SIP. 83 finished down LSP ready and while I had to come back and polish out hazing left by SIP. After this, no one could tell the the difference!

                  BTW, I love the term "Keyboard Commandos"! It pretty much sum up a guy in his underpants in his mom's basement living large on a forum!

                    I to like the term "Keyboard commando's". This is my take on it.

                    Let it go. This is why I relly try to remain out of any dicussion of this is better or that is better. Why? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personnally like the whole line of Meguiars products. They perform the way I want my vehicles to look. Let them have thier opinions. Like Mike says "find something you like and use it often" If they think thier car looks better using something else. let it go. Life is to short. Any person with a little common sense is going to make thier own decision.

                    At least I do. If a item does not perform the way its suppose to. I dont buy it anymore. To me its simple. But I commend you for the passion you have in defending Meguiars products.

                      Yeah, parents buy people like that a computer rather than a book to keep them out of their hair.

                      Like one my training officers 14 yrs ago (here at the jail), "can't argue with a drunk." Fell on deaf ears.

                      You got to say your part and defended Meguiars and their products. With your comments, you may have brought others to Meguiars products.

                        Am I making more of this than it is? Maybe, but sometimes people have to be challenged if they initiate it. I myself am a retired C.O. from Rikers Island and I have learned the way's mostly from self taught dealing with the criminal maggot's which applie's to this other wax guru(or so he thinks). Ok, time for meditation. ummmmmmmmmmmm
