Hey everyone,

These past few weeks have been really hard. The watch scam has really brought me down and the outcome looks bleak. I got a call from the scammer and he has no intention of refunding my money. The guy is a total jerk and does not under common sense. He's 21 and acts like a two year old. It's people like him that put a bad mark on the internet trading community. It feels like you've been persistently lied to.

I really appreciate everyone's support. I especially want to thank Mike-In-Orange for his help.

Sometimes, you just need to cut your losses. I'm selling off the goods I have collected to try and recover. People make mistakes; it's just this one has a few 0's behind it.

I have so many things going on at home and in class that I really need to take a break and 'push away the keyboard.' In life, my family and education come first.

Hey Chris,

Don't be so down on yourself Bud. Everyone makes mistakes. The thing about making a mistake is to make sure you have learned from it, and I am sure you have.
Your family should always come first above everything else and your schoolwork is just as important.
I hope you get everything straightened out and look forward to seeing you around after the stuff you are going through settles down.

Chris, thats horrible to hear. I remember during the fires you helped me out with getting through it even though I wasn't affect. Just goes to show the type of man your are. If theres anything we or I can do for you, you have my #.

Chris take care of the family. They are #1 priority. You will get thru this. No one in life is perfect or has all the answers. Take some time to recharge yourself, and I look forward to reading your posts in the future. Your a good guy. Good luck in the future.

Bummer Chris. Don't feel bad it's not really even that you made a mistake, you where scammed. Probably not the first or last person the guy scammed.

So sorry to hear about the troubles you are going through. But you will get through them.... . I read about how the guy scammed you on the watch; hopefully that guy will have that happen to himself tenfold!

Well, I just want to thank everyone for their words of wisdom. It really means a lot.

The scammer is supposedly working with the other person who got scammed to return the money. Hopefully, he'll do the same. The seller claims he was out of town and couldn't answer phone calls (but could recieve and respond to emails). It's kind of turned into a flame war, so I'll save my dignity and stay out.

Life is filled with ups and downs... you'll get through this and the money you lost if nothing else will be a lesson in the School of Hard Knocks, not a fun lesson but if it keeps you from making a similar mistake in the future then a valuable lesson....

Here's an old sayings,

"Try to learn from other people's mistakes, you may not live long enough to make them all on your own"

Just your sharing your experience with this transaction gone bad on our forum may help someone who reads about it from making their own mistake, not much of a conciliation for you but a benefit for the person you've helped.

You have a lot of friends on this forum and you have a stellar reputation as a smart, friendly and ever-so helpful person, I know I personally appreciate your contribution to Meguiar's forum.

Push away from the keyboard for a while... that's good for all of us sometimes...
