What happens to all the old meguiars products?

Hey All,
Just wondering. What happens to all the old Meguiars products when the new ones come out. IE. the old NXT vs. the new NXT 2.0. Where does all the old product go? I think they should sell it at a discount.

The new NXT 2.0 has the same UPC so retailers will just stock it when the old runs low. Hopefully the will rotate it and not shove the old to the back. I say that for I used to work retail and have seen it done.

Here's my theory : the old products are sent to Canada, that's why it takes so long for us to have the new ones.

I tried to order some of the new #21 from my local place but it has the same part number as the old so there is no way for them to get me new and not old. That's just the way the system works, have to get the old version sold first. I'm pretty sure Rick at ADS is selling them separate, so you can get the version you like.

i know biglots still had the meguiars brushes for a bit after they were discontinued. of course though before i got ahold of them they were out.

I doubt Big Lots would carry it. Since this is just a product formulation change.
Everything else stayed the same. Order code and UPC. As the new rolls in, the old gets put in front and the new in back. When I was in Inventory we called it First In, First Out.
I am sure Rick would do what you ask, he is good at that.

At Meijers in my neighborhood, their trying to clearance (NXT) from $15 to $14. I'm going to let them sweat it out for a while, until they drop it $5 more.
