  • I was bored...

So being young and adventurous instead of sitting here all night like usual I went out to a few local empty parking lots and had fun doing donuts like crazy. Yay for rain! Might as well since all my weekend plans are trashed because of the rain.
Anyone else have anything they like to do in the wet and cold?

scrape the dried up wax out of the groves of the caps on my waxes and polishes

It's raining hard here, but I'm on nights but it's Friday for me, my 3 day work week, work 12 hour shifts.

Well....we watch movies, I straighten out my arsenal of products, fix the stuff that is broken in the house. Do laundry, dishes, straighten out the house, clean the computer (hard drive that is), read. We live near Medford Oregon and I like to drive up there and shop for Meg's stuff that I don't have.......

Go the inlaws for football or just to visit, they live nearby.

Pretty much boring. I need a garage so I can work on my baby ('64 C-10)

Sundays we go to church and youth at night for the kids.

Glad you had fun with the donuts. One time in my '74 Chevelle Malibu Classic, I pulled the E-brake on it and did several 360's and ended up going straight again.....In front of the local Deputy Sheriff who was hiding......No ticket, he threatened to call my dad (they went to Lions club together) unless we gave up some names...we were his little narcs.

Guess I ended up in law enforcement for a reason eh? LOL.

Whoa there buddy!!! You gotta stop living life on the edge my friend....slow down and take it easy every now and then. I'd hate to see you end up like Lindsey and Britney!!

Growing up in Michigan we used to head to large parking lots late at night or very early in the morning, depending on when the snow was falling, and do really long power slides. Amazing how long you can keep a car going sideways even at just 15-20 mph in that stuff!! We'd also go out on very, very rural roads and put the car into a slide as we approached a corner so that we'd be lined up to accelerate straight ahead as we apexed the turn, WRC style. Of course this was back in the day when rear wheel drive cars were the norm, not the exception. Ahhh, memories.

            Re: I was bored...

Reading Mikes post reminded me of a friend of mine , When I was growing up in Chicago. He use to drive a Chevy Nova. Just all stock. Anyways he was crazy. No respect for cars, people nothing. Well whenever it snowed out real bad, he would start driving like a madman. Doughnuts, drifting, whatever. Well one night he takes on a curve starts a slide, rams into a chain link fence, slides off of that and sraightens the car keeps on going. Comes around the block and repeats and repeats. The stangest part of all of this was there was not a single scratch, dent or anything wrong with the car. It was amazing!

Sorry bout that. Must still be the youth in me! I did run out of toothpicks though in cleaning the grooves.

We survived the snow, we didn't get is as bad as others though.

We got about 4" of snow in Yreka, then it melted pretty quick. Lots of wrecks.
