Re: What does your forum name mean or stand for?

"Bubba Hyde" is a character in a Diamond Reo song. Basically, a straight-arrow guy that let his hair down on the weekends.

When I started joining forums, I had a 2000 F150 SVT, and a line in the song kind of stuck with me: "You ought to see him metamorphasize from Barney Jekyll into Bubba Hyde".

It only took about half-throttle to complete the metamorphasis....

The truck has since gone, but the name has just stuck with me. So, any forum I join now I join as "Bubba Hyde".

    Great thread, by the way.

My name is the name of my business. It is also a play on words because "C. A." are my initials and it is spoken as "see a". Hence, CAShine

Many times i do wish that i lived in California. Especially when it gets cold and the weather makes it impossible to do business since i am mobile. One day I will have a location as well.

It's an HVAC term. I was an HVAC contractor when I first got on the computer in 1991 and have been using it ever since.

Cool. I'm always doing Comchecks and Reschecks at work. Do you have to deal with those. Just in case not, they are heat loss calculations for buildings.

I am a woodworker & did a demo on using a dovetail fixture at the local woodworking supply store. Since my first name is Dave, the guys at the demo started calling me "DOVETAIL DAVE" so it became DVTLDAV.
