  • My first Brinkmann - RIP

Yes the first Brinkmann I purchased died today. I have had it for about three years. As you can see in the picture I hardly ever used it.

I have a stash of about six of them so out comes the next one.

Wow....did it die or did you murder it?

Nice to know they last a while...I only got one when they were on sale.

We use mine all the time. They get dropped, wet, kicked, etc.......

It will not hold a charge any longer.

Thats exactly what I was thinking.

Then I got to thinking those things show defects so good sometimes you want to murder them. Especially, when you're trying to buff down some tough scratches.

Wow! Impressive to see it lasted that long under those circumstances!

Used and abused, but it kept on working. Wow, that light was put thru its paces. Nice to know that they are that durable. Simply amazing.

                        Send it back Joe.

It should have lasted longer than that.

Call Brinkman and make them replace it.

And I thought I was hard on them. I am on my third one. They last me about a year. Battery failure is generally the issue that kills em.

Why not just buy a replacement battery from one of those websites specializing in specialty battery's. I bought a generic manufacturered laptop battery from BatteriesPlus or something like that. It was not made by Dell, but it was identical in every way except price. It even had the LED for testing the battery!

If they can make a laptop battery, chances are good they have cheap batteries for those lights. I say take the battery out and find out what it type it is. For $5 to $10, you may be able to get it replaced. Another option is to make your own replacement if it is generic enough.
