  • New side job.....

I may be detailing an Excursion or Ford Explorer tommorow and Thursday, weather pending. A close friend of ours asked if I would do their cars and what I would charge. I told them and told them the steps I would take. They like our cars and how much they shine and with all I learned on MOL, I decided to have a side job kinda.

My wife and I (mostly my wife) thought of the name "Shine Ur Ride" and the slogan, Making The World Brighter One Car At A Time."

I think it's available on the net as a URL and my wife makes business cards for other folks here in town (as a hobby) and I like web pages but only dealt with free server type web pages and haven't messed with the "real" Mccoy yet. I know HTML coding pretty good, hence my 60wpm typing (works great at work).

Anyways, good to be back on the ol' Vbulletin, miss the old one though. I learned how to use it but heck, I don't really mind which one I use, long as I get to read what everybody contributes to making their cars shine.

Checked GoDaddy.com and ShineUrRide.com is available while, ShineYourRide.com is taken.

Comment: Usually you want to pick a name that is easy to remember and not easy to confuse with something else. These 2 names can be confused but probably not to the point that it would ever cost you business. Just a do a good job with any design work where you use your name/domain name to make the spelling clear.

My wife came up with the "ur" part for the text message generation and us parents who got trapped in this phenomenon She thought it would be catchy. I agreed. LOL.

I have a few cars lined up:

SLK Kompressor, F350 Crew Cab, Ford Excursion, Ford Explorer, Jeep Liberty.

Huge to smalll. I like to do it and if I can earn some cash doing so, then I will.
