  • Ridgid Vacuum Cleaners?

Hi guys! Anyone familiar with Ridgid vacuum cleaners? Is it any good? I'm thinking of getting the 6.5hp 16 gallon model it's the one that has a blower and a wet and dry vac. Other brands that are available here are Shop Vac and Karcher but those don't have blowers its just a wet and dry vac. Any other suggestions? Your inputs would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks!

I don't know anything about this particular model, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night

I have the Ridgid Pro Pack, and one of the resons I bought it was because it had a blower also, and I could use that to blow out some water after a wash. It served it's purpose, but in the end I bought an air compressor to blow out cracks and crevices. It just didn't have enough pressure. But the one you are looking at has more HP, so that may make the difference.

Ridgid seem to be quality tools, I have used a Ridgid shop vac a few times but I do not own one... Had plenty of power and suction. I have a ShopVac W/blower and that works very well for me.

Thanks a lot n737nc! I also have a compressor for the same purpose as you do. I was just wondering if the Ridgid is sturdy enough to last for a long time because its around $315 out here. Maybe someone else who has some experience with Ridgid will chime in.

I bought one for less than a hundred bucks at Home Depot. I use it only as a car vacuum so I can't attest to the blower feature, but as a car vac, it's pretty decent.

Just bought this model a few days ago, vacuum works great and the blower feature is fantastic for yard work/drying autos!. I was looking for a new vacuum and wanted to get a "leaf blower" also so decided to get an all in one!.

Your making me feel cheap. They are opening a new Home depot by my house. One of thier specials is a Rigid shop vac 2.5 hp with attachments for $29. I was debating getting this. Here you are ready to spend over $300. Granted mine doesn't havethe blower feature. Just wanted it to vacuum out the interior. Good luck.

I don't think that the model I want to buy is over $300 back there in the U.S you have to consider that I'm from the Philippines that's why its $315. In the U.S I'd say it'll be much much cheaper. Just to stress my point a bottle of NXT wax here goes for around $35. You do the math.

                          Thanks man!
