  • Car Covers - Cover Craft or Coverking ?

Over the years I have had to learn many times that you get what you pay for. So I have evolved into a brand name snob, and at times has cots me a little more but they perform and most often last much longer then the ‘El Cheapo’ brands. fficeffice" />

I have a 06 VW MkV GTI that is parked outside 7x24x365 and I need a car cover. I have been looking at Coverking and Cover Craft and have come to the conclusion that they both make fine products but which one? If I go with Coverking I will be going with their ‘Stormproof’ model, and with Cover Craft it is between ‘Stormweave’ and NOAH’ which tells you what I am willing to spend.

What I would like is your input and your experience with these two suppliers, and here is my ride just so you know.

Re: Car Covers - Cover Craft or Coverking ?

I have an "Evolution" from Covercraft. It is their most, as they call it, impact resistant cover. I paid just under $200 for it from autoanything. They have lots and lots of choices there in both Covercraft and Coverking.

I got the Evolution and the impact resistance mainly for protection from small flying objects during hurricanes (live in Miami). My previous car's paint was destroyed when all the shingles from my roof fell down on it during Wilma last October. But with the insurance money.... I got my Mustang! Thank you Wilma!

I am very happy with the Evolution and Covercraft. I have no experience with Coverking.

    Happy shopping.

I just went to the autoanything site. I forgot to mention that you can also read user reviews for each product and if you click on a specific product and then click on the "detailed info" tab near the bottom, you can see a comparison chart of all the covers side by side. Very helpful in the decision making process.
