Soooooooo yeah I've decided to invest some money to improve the performance of my truck so i decided Im going to get a K&N cold air intake and a Gibson Performance exhaust(one with no welding necessary just slide on). I just wanna see anyones experiences and improvements in performance because of adding one or the other.. and i am also planning to ask my brothers friend to install them much cheaper than havin a shop do it.

Re: Air intake and exhaust.
NICE CHOICE FOR PERFORMANCE AND FIRST PURCHASE. YOU GOT A FUNDATION FOR FUTURE ADD-ONS AS WELL! WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A GIBSON EXHAUST FOR MY TRUCK, AND EXPLORER''USE THE LEAST AGGRESSIVE PRODUCT TO GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT''

Re: Air intake and exhaust.
I have both an intake and exhaust(header and catback) on my car and love the difference. First change with my car being supercharged the whine from the blower has gotten much louder. Second with the exhaust not only can you feel the power but the sound is addicting.
And if you can I suggest doing at least the intake by yourself its quite easy, and if the exhaust is all bolt-on like you said its not very hard either. Anyways good luck and enjoy the results!!!

Re: Air intake and exhaust.
the K&N intake is great, but I don't know anything about that exhaust, except it might just be cheaper and more practical if you just take it to a muffler shop and have new mufflers welded in...
are you going to increase the piping size? if you aren't then it would just be cheaper to get new mufflers welded in...

Re: Air intake and exhaust.
its a cat-back exhaust system. just clamps on. and Im gettin it done for dirt cheap my brothers friend and me are doin it together.. friday or saturday(hopefully all parts will arrive by then they are comin from local stuff around here..) And oh for those of you that KNOW i had stickers on my truck. I finallyy found somethin that works. Goo Gone Sticker Lifter it comes with a little plastic scraper and it works amazin I knocked out a few stickers earlier but it was way too hot so I had to come back in ahha. I am planning to remove the rest later today and clay it real good and probably throw on some #66 down at the garage for some clean up and protection before I do a full detail later...02 Ford F250 Super Duty

Re: Air intake and exhaust.
In my F-150 (Avatar) I have the Gibson and K&N as well as a SuperChip. The Gibson is O.K., gives the power needed but it doesn't sound all that great. This summer I'm replacing the Gibson muffler with a Flowmaster Super 40, they sound great!! The K&N is great to, no problems there although a little worse gas mileage. Another cheap and good upgrade is a Throttle Body Spacer, check them out, I'm going to get one this summer, after I get a job.
Good luck, and maybe do a little more research on the exhaust, don't know what your looking for exactly, but the Gibson is a little on the quiet side!!
Just my opinion though!!Attack life, it's going to kill you anyway.

Re: Air intake and exhaust.
Honestly they dont make a flowmaster for my truck(im sure they could make one fit) and the gibson eh i dont need a great loud noise but a decent one is nice. Anyway yeah the K&N should be great. Plus the gibson was local and affordable i shall have my input on it soon though..02 Ford F250 Super Duty
