    cingular doesn't cover physical damage, so i had to call them and complaing about software issues a bunch of times before they finally agreed to send a new one...then i quickly soldered the plug back to the mother board and sent it back...now im alot more careful with it...

    Sounds like a defect from the manufacturer. I've never had a problem with mine and I don't handle it gingerly. It's too bad you had to go through so much just to get another phone. It's unfortunate that the carriers don't offer insurance on the pda phones.
    A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
