to paint or not to paint...

This question concerns a predicament my mother happens to be in at this time; she scratched up the right side of her car Sunday night, and she's wondering whether or not to repaint the entire car (ten year old dark green Mercedes), or just the side that's been scratched. Her mechanic told her the newly painted area would stand out from the relatively old factory paint job.

Any advice?

The mechanic could be right, if you dont match the color exactly then the car will look funny. i would recommend a repaint.
