Not Happy.... Very Disappointed!

So i just got a campershell for my truck... thats good... well the good news stops there.... first time they installed it it was out of alignment.... fixed that.... then we want the bed rail caps taken off.... so we did that.... my dad takes wooden blocks to scrap off the tape left behind.... [edited for context; 2hotford].... it was horrible.... but i let it go b/c since it would be covered by the campershell anyways.... but then the real horror comes....

they detailed my car for me the second time they installed the shell.... i was not happy when i heard about it.... i didn't know they did it till my dad told me when i got home... i wasn't here when they installed it the second time.....

so this morning... i i went to look at my car...... IT WAS SWIRLED TO HLL... I'm guessing they are either from their buffer or when they wiped off what ever they used.... I'm very not happy..... I'm going to have to take 83 and buff it out.... and I'm low on 83 too and the closest dealer is like 40 miles away.... not a good week.... i have hella test and stuff at school....

Please pull this out into the sun and take some pictures to share with the forum to drive home the point that whenever you take your car to an outfit like this you must let them know not to wash or detail your car.

I would also make them pay for your product. You sure as heck don't want them to touch your truck again. Good luck and hope you ace your test.

yah so i looked at it more and it seems most of the swirls are not that deep.... just the base of the roof pillars look a bit bad and also top half of the bed looks a bit worst tahn the rest of the car....

A year ago I brought my 1999 Miata in for a Federal Emissions warranty replacement of my catalytic converter. I forgot to tell the dealer to not wash the car and noticed the result a few days later when the sun finally came out. Below is a half & half of the trunk lid after I got to work on it. Amazing how even something this bad can be well hidden by low light on a cloudy day.

the dealer did that much damage with one car wash? wow.... and i thought i had a bad experiance.... i dont understand why they even bother doing the wash/wax if they gonna do a bad job at it that is gonna make it worst... would have been better if they left it alone...so anyways i went to work on the truck and got about 3/4 of the driver side done.... it was dark already when i called it a day though so no pics yet... tomorrow for sure.... the swirls on the truck came out pretty easy with 83 at speed 5.... but i did notice that the campershell had holograms but it was fresh paint so im hoping it'd be still be soft and easy to fix....going to finish the rest of the truck tomorrow and put a coat of gold class on it so it'd smell right again...except the campershell since i have to wait 30 days before i can wax it.... funny how i thought something was wrong w/ the smell of the truck when i first saw it when i got home that night and was afraid of something like that had happened but i was hoping i was just imagining stuff till my dad told me and confirmed the bad news... o well....
