Hose is an expendable item. I get about two years out of a garden hose.

Nozzle: I use the ultimate hose nozzle.

Not to stray from the original topic, but... What do you all use for nozzles?
Yeah... I was kind of thinking the pipe to my hose bib is going to restrict the flow. Some say a larger hoes will make a difference some say it won't. Hard to tell until I try it I guess.

I am not so much concerned with the 'neverkink' idea more so a quality hose, there are plenty of not so good ones out there.

Did you end up with a neverkink?

I didnt get one yet, couldnt figure out if I should get the 50' or 75' or 100'. Figure next time I get to the store I will get the 75'. Do you have Fleet Farm stores by you? That is were I found them, they have 4 or 5 different grades of the neverkink. The top one has a lifetime warranty. Not sure how they honor it. The other thing I noticed was how cold they can go and stay flexible. The one I am going to pick up stays flexible down to 35 deg, the next one down was 45 deg.

Don't have a Fleet Farm here, they are up near my parents in Minnesota.... I too was looking at the temp rating, there is a 5/8" 75' or 100' with a rating of 35 deg. (sounds like the same one here) then the 3/4" x 75' is 45 deg. I am thinking the 5/8" with the lower temp might be a better option. I like to wash my truck in the garage in the winter and, sure its not that cold in the garage but 45 is getting very close to my garage temp during the coldest part of the winter.

I was thinking the same thing about the temperature. Plus I am thinking to get the hose in the garage I will have to hook it to the hose bib outside. So about 20 feet of it will be out in the freezing.

Minnesota!?! I lived in Eden Prairie for about 2 years.

I went with the 50' Craftsman black rubber hose. Lifetime warranty. I think it ran like 35-40 bucks or so.

A little OT: Currently they live in Lakeville (near Apple Valley/Burnsville), my cousins lived in Eden Prairie for may years sometime ago, anyway...

hemin8r... Sears, never thought of them I will have to check them out online.

Never thought of sears for a hose. Just looked online and found a 50' black rubber one for $20. Says it stays flexible down to 25 deg. below zero and withstands temps up to 160 deg. With a lifetime warranty. If that warranty works like the tool one it might be a good deal. If the Sears warranty means you can take it back to the store and get a new one, you can't beat that. Most of the other hose warranties require you to mail them back for a replacement, by the time you end up paying for the shipping, you can buy a new one for less. I call this warranty "getting hosed"

Sears is very good about returns/warranties. I know my dad has always bought the Craftsman garden hoses and even if their is a small defect or leaks he get's it exchanged even after 4 years in one case that I know of.

OH! I'm glad you mentioned that, hemin8r! My Dad's black rubber Craftsman hose (which by the way are great) just recently started leaking at the connector, and I was just thinking of buying him a new one. I forgot about the warranty!

Hmmmm.. You know I think I may have a very small I mean small leak on my connector as well. I just noticed it the other day. I should go exchange mine as well.

If you decide to exchange it, let us know how it goes. If they give you a hard time tell them there are people waiting to hear on the internet, so they know if they should buy a sears brand hose also.

I think I will buy one, unless they give you a hard time about an exchange.
