I don't think there is any problems with it, provided the price is right. At times just like anything else on eBay the prices are higher than they are in the store.

As mentioned, the prices are not always that great, but some real deals are sometimes avaialble.
One thing to really watch is the shipping cost. A lot of real low priced items have very high shipping charges. The shipping charges will be listed, but many people seem to miss them.

I have bought many things there and ran into some GREAT deals. Just be careful and watch what you buy and from whom you buy. Always check shipping charges like was mentioned already.

Re: Is it a good idea to buy detailer stuff off ebay?

My wife and I buy and sell on ebay all the time, never had a problem. Just keep a few things in mind when shopping on ebay:

              1. Always, always, always comparison shop. Look for the same thing elsewhere on ebay and various online retailers. I've seen bidding wars on certain items only to find the exact same item listed by another seller that was overlooked for some reason. I've watched 4 people fight each other for an item while I grabbed the same thing from another seller for 20% less.

              2. When comparison shopping, pay close attention to the shipping charges. Some people are very straightforward and charge you only what they pay to ship. Others will pad those shipping charges by a few dollars to pack the item up and take it to UPS or FedEx. I don't have a problem with that as long as the shipping is still reasonable.

              3. Pay close attention to the feedback rating of the seller. Feedback is everything on ebay. If the seller has a lot of negatives with the same complaint (slow shipping, wouldn't refund if the buyer wasn't happy, etc) then be cautious. But you often see a seller with 2000+ positives and one goofball who had a bad experience and calls the seller a scammer. Sorry, I don't think one bad experience out of 2000 transactions is cause for alarm. Some people just aren't happy no matter what.

              4. Just use common sense. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

He isn't wrong, but you can get ripped off buying stuff from someone you know.
I have made something over 40 purchases from eBay vendors with no problem and with some very good deals.
I check their feedback score for any negatives. I then check the negatives to see if they were deserved or just someone complaining. You can get a pretty good feel by doing some research.

Just trying to help, stang. I do not plan to compete with your bid, but I guess others could. I did not really see any items there that were really interesting, especially considering shipping. Did you check completed items search to see what others have paid for this package? You planning to go the casual detailing of your own? Use a PC?

I think its fine, as long as you make sure they send you the right product.

I too 'shop' on eBay all the time with the tips provided by Mike-in-Orange above you shouldn't have any trouble. I have done over 100 transactions a combo of buying and selling and only had one that was a problem(non payment on an item I was selling).
