yes, it can stick to your paint and it is very difficult to remove. It also might eat into your clear coat, but im not sure.

thanks for the info. the reason why i asked this question is because were i park my car at my school are some bushes right next to the spot and when the wind kicks up it gets polon all over the paint and winshield. when i first saw this stuff on my paint i wiped it off with a california car duster right away not knowing what that it can eat the paint like bird poo can. i got home today and used quik detailer then quik wax to get more of the polon out of the paint that the duster can't get.

Watch out using that duster, i could really put some swirls in your paint. also, i said i wasnt sure if the pollen would eat in to the paint. dont quote me on that one, each type of pollen is different, some MIGHT eat your paint. In my opinion its not good to leave any thing on piant. Mabe someone can chime in and give more info on pollen.

Not sure about plant and tree polon, but we could talk about plant and tree pollen.


Pollen is usually akin to dust, so when and where dust would be a problem pollen could be a problem, that would be whenever you have an accumulated build-up on the surface.

If the accumulated build-up is allowed to sit for any length of time and it's exposed to moisture in the are like dew, then it can form a film on your car and the water mixed with the pollen and other contaminants can turn into other substances and it's possible these substances could end up having a corroding effect to the paint, as in stain it or etch it.

Wash often, use a quick detailer or a duster in-between regular washings but not when you have a film of build-up.
